Hmmmm...cute or mischievous?

Exhibit A: Kaydee looking oh so cute as she models her new outfit with matching sandals
Exhibit B: crayon all over the back of my white chair
And the kitchen chair
And on Daddy's shirt ...while he was wearing it! How did she do this, you might ask? I don't really know except that she was behind him at the table and we were talking...I couldn't see her and thought she was playing. Chris was really tired as he had been working late a lot that week and he must have thought she was scratching his back or something..little did he know! Thankfully, I know how to use a bottle of Shout!
Conclusion: Mischievous, but she's cute anyway!

Her new thing to say after she makes a mess whether intentional or not, is "That's OK..."

Silly pictures of my babies

Kaydee enjoying their new bench by their flower garden
CJ having a little Starbucks treat on our front porch
CJ cracks me up! On this day it was almost unbearably hot! That's no hill for this high stepper! Here he gets creative and uses the wagon umbrella for shade on his bike.

That worked so well, that he decided that the umbrella could have other uses..such as for "jousting"...CJ style!

" I need a band-aid"

In our house, boo-boos have become a big deal ever since I purchased care bear band-aids for Kaydee and Diego ones for CJ. Lately, anytime they get hurt, the first thing they say is, "I need a band-aid" whether they are bleeding or not! :-)

When Kaydee hurt her toe outside the other day, CJ was so cute about it, I had to capture the moment!

CJ sat her down on her princess car, grabbed the spray, and told her, "Don't worry Kaydee, CJ will make it all better!"
Putting the care bear band-aid on
Kissing her toe-toe to make it better
And then the ice! It was so sweet and he did make her feel better!

Last ones from Renaissance Festival

Though there were lots of interesting things to do and see at the festival, Kaydee was most interested in playing in the gravel...couldn't get her away from it! (as I cringed thinking about how nasty that was) As I have said before, she is my "messy" free-spirited" one.
After a long, hot day, we had one family photo before we left...CJ donned his new shield and since Kaydee wouldn't wear her new floral halo for the picture, I did!

Just a few more

Kirsten was also enthralled by Dr. Kaboom!
This cracked me up...Kaydee has a thing about her shoes. It doesn't matter where we are or what shoes she has on, she always takes them off! Well, here is Allison "helping" her put it back on!
Kaydee and Allison
CJ and Kaden
All of the kids using their new swords and shields

And More Renaissance Pictures

Kaydee watching Kaden pop out of his "shell" like a turtle
Chris knocking the guy off the log (I forget what this is technically called)
CJ cheering Daddy on
Kaydee and Allison were inseparable...so cute!
CJ and Kaden enthralled by Dr. Kaboom! He made all kinds of concoctions and made lots of noise!

More Renaissance Pictures

Kirsten, Kaden, Abigail, and Allison on the human powered swings
Is it my turn yet?
Kaydee rode it with Chris and she laughed harder than we have ever heard her. It was truly one of those moments that is burned in your brain permanently. The higher they went, the harder she laughed!
Kaydee found a buddy in Stephanie
Chris and CJ watching the human chess match

No, I didn't fall off of the face of the earth!

We have been having so much fun for the last month or so that I haven't been able to post anything, but I am finally hoping to catch up!

A few weeks ago we met our good friends, the Biel clan, in Waxahatchie for the Renaissance Festival. We had a great time..no matter how long it is between our visits, we always just pick up right where we left off! Our children get along great too! Kenny and Karla have a 15 year old daughter, Stephanie, who is a great sport about all of our little ones, Kaden and Kirsten are just a little older than CJ, and Abigail and Allison are just a little older than Kaydee. Yes, the Biels have two sets of twins. See blogs I read: mama of 2 squared plus 1. Here are a few pictures from the "sants" festival as CJ called it.
